Which traditionally working class housing stock do you prefer in terms of looks, practicality? In Philly the most common housing style is the row home. In Boston it is the triple deckers.
I voted for Row House as I know they can be very nice. Much better than the pictures shown. Often a row house that is built differently from its neighbors is called a Town House. As Philadelphia continues to gentrify, I think the word is going to get out about the great old housing stock that is there.
The triple deckers look like they can house three families comfortably. I THINK I have seen smaller versions of these houses somewhere in Queens (maybe Woodhaven or Richmond Hill) but typically the porches are made part of the house so you need a sharp eye to see them.
Still I grew up in a row house and they seem more private to me, so the answer is ROW HOUSE.

Reason: spelling
Those are some of the priciest locations in the city. To compare them to the triple decker in Boston, which are in mostly the poorest areas, is very misleading.
Triple Decker if it was in a more beach/warm type area.
