Chicago THIN is an Italian thing. Deep dish is not Italian at all, per se.

My vote goes for NY style pizza. I think it has a great balance between the crispy crust, sauce and cheese (and any toppings). My complaint about Chicago-style pizza is that it's more like lasagna. There's something to be said for being able to grab a slice of pizza on the street and eat while you walk. NY-style is also closer to traditional margherita-style pizza from Italy.

Now, I think there's also a time and place for Chicago-style pizza...however, I'd argue that it's not as satisfying because I think it's more filling and I don't crave it as much. It's just more of a task to eat...

Tied with New York City and Chicago, like I care.

Eh, Im from New York City.

I like pizza but pizza is severely overrated

There is just so much better food of so many kinds out there. I worry that some surrender to pizza's super overrated goodness and then dont try or experience the many foods out there outside pizza that is healthy, tasty, and affordable. I really do know some people who only seem to know about pizza but not other great foods out there And some neighborhoods have pizza joints but not many other food places, which is depressing, and it is pizza's fault.

The first 14 years of my life, I only know of pizza and a few things in food and Im so glad since then I have discovered many other types of food.

Im so glad I broke free from the pizza obsession and found out all the amazing food that is out there that isnt pizza!

Its ok if someone loves pizza, but be aware of all the amazing food that exists that isnt pizza!

New York City and Chicago have plenty of great food that can be found there that pizza.

I agree that there are other great foods out there...I also love to try many different kinds, but pizza is a staple. I don't think it's overrated...just popular because it can be diverse and satisfying in so many different settings...all while being a great comfort food.

Chicago thin crust is very good too; compared to NY style the crust is even thinner and it is much more crispy. I personally prefer NY style pizza over either Chicago deep dish or thin crust, but both of the latter are very good when they are made correctly.

i eat deep dish pizza only on special occasions..but i love it because its unlike any other pizza in the country..i especially like the deep dish spinach pizza

and deep dish is a real meal, not a light, "take it to go" type of pizza that could be made anywhere else
