Surprisingly I really don't like Manhattan clam chowder. My mom is a Manhattanite born and raised, but I still don't like her Manhattan clam chowder, lol. I much prefer NE chowder. I wish I could get some decent chowder down here. Ironically, it was really good at Unos. What other chain restaurants have decent NE clam chowder?

Or better yet, any New Englanders want to send some down??? I'll send ya a bagel or pizza in return

From what I understand, Manhatten clam chowder was actually made in Rhode Island and the folks hated it so much, they named it for NYC out of spite.

Not sure if that story is correct, but I tend to think of that thin brothed waste of clams the same way. LOL

Nothing like some homemade NE Chowder, or even a quick can of SNOWS chowder for a fix.

Red Lobster's NE clam chowder is good for a chain.
