The Jersey Shore has several options for what every person might want - family beaches, party beaches, quiet/natural beaches, casinos, etc.
go to a private beach there is Jones Beach, Robert Moses, and of course, the Hamptons. They call it LONG Island for a reason. Go to a beach on NJ from LI? You have to DRIVE through LI first, then hit all the NYC traffic, and then the Jersey traffic. Not worth it if you live on LI. Those NY plates you see on the Jersey beaches are probably people from NYC, not Long Island.

And everyone knows NJ mooch on NYC too. Don't get defensive. You don't have to plead a case everyone knows.

You don't have a clue.

Back to the topic.
What do i need a clue on. You tried to come at me with the whole new york is in jersey doing this and that and the third, how can there be a rivalry thing. Posted pictures and everything claiming that those random people were new yorkers enjoying jersey attractions. I never even brought up the fact jersians spend time in new york, u did

I used to live in Nassau County then moved to North Jersey. I have to say North Jersey I enjoy more. Within one hour I can be in NYC, deep within a forest overlooking mountains on high summits, on a beach, or snowboarding on a mountain. Plus its just so much better traffic-wise on the WEST side of the bridges and tunnels lol

And how do u know what specific borough new yorkers are from anyway?

And you see tons of jersey plates in the bronx and brooklyn. So i dont knw what your getting at. I bet there are tons of spoiled rich jersians moving into the new condos being put up aswell
U talking about this one^?. This was a response to a post another jersian wrote, accusing new yorkers of flocking to new jersey, which is misleading just like your post

I don't care who you posted it to, I just thought i'd like to answer.

And it's not "misleading".
You just don't like the thought of so many NYers going into NJ... which is strange, because who cares?

NYers go to NJ for a lot of reasons... What's misleading about that??
elaborate why it's misleading because I don't know what your steering towards.

real simple. The use of the word flocking. Nyers do not FLOCK to jersey, and saying anything otherwise is misleading. Simple

I think the term "flock" can be used when we refer NYers going to NJ since so many of NJ residents are native NYers and all NJ tourist sections are filled with NYers more so than any other outsider which means a lot since NJ is ranked #7 in the country when it comes to tourism.
Think if NJ didn't have NYers touring the state... NJ would defitely not be #7; more like #17

Uhh, Westchester isn't on the Ocean.

Long Island DOES have such scenes. Go to Jones Beach or Long Beach.

Places like the Hamptons or Fire Island obviously don't have this sort of thing, but that's because they're expensive and exclusive. Same thing with places like Spring Lake or Deal in NJ.

This is silly. It's one region, so obviously there are NY residents in NJ malls and vice versa. There are tons of NJ residents who go to Palisades Center in Rockland, or (obviously) who shop in Manhattan. Same thing.

You can throw CT and even PA in the mix too.

I know all of this.... nothing new (and i never said Westchester had beaches... The NYer did)
That's what i've been getting at the whole time.

I'm telling this to someone who thinks NYers don't use NJ for anything, and that it's not only NJ using NY.
didn't you see that in my posts? I said i know NJ mooches off NY for a list of things... I'm not offended by it like someone on here is about NYers flocking to NJ
