You have to draw the limit somewhere because two of the most bandwagon fanbases (Yankees and Lakers) have fans not even from LA or NYC.
We are talking about NYC fans, and LA fans, not fans or teams from areas outside. That is my point.
There are Yankees fans all over the place, but you dont go to Albany to find out how they are even if the fanbase goes there.
And you have different limits. You say some teams are Tri-state, some are NYC/NJ/LI specific. Like I said, you can't have it both ways.
Do you not understand how SPORTS/MEDIA MARKETS work? That is one consistent limit instead of having varying limits depending on which team it is in the same area.
Basically you keep moving the goal post to exclude crappy franchises in your region. No matter how you try to spin it they are in the same NY media/sports market.
