Sheesh you could have voted for one of your neighbors lol!
Just kidding, I can see people voting for New Mexico just for being sheer different from the 3 northeast states. Many people might like the hot, dry desert climate. It is less crowded than some of the other choices and the air might be better for people with asthma or allergies.
I personally like the northeast or great lake states so I voted differently.
If New Hampshire had more than NY id vote for it..I love it there but im gonna vote for NY and not based on NYC even!(you can do that ya know )
but NYC is a plus.
I grew up on Long Island, and even though LI sucks, I voted for NY anyway, because NYC is a nice city to visit. Plus, the entire upstate area is full of beautiful scenery, mountains, rivers, farms, small towns etc... I've been to 3 out of the 4 "new" state and 1 "new" Canadian province, and I gotta say, upstate NY is absolutely beautiful
New Mexico, Honestly..you cannot compare our Scenery to those others, except for maybe New York.
It's very different, I'll give you that. New Mexico is absolutely beautiful too. But NM doesn't have the geographic diversity that even the tiny state of New Hampshire has. The White Mountains are absolutely stunning as are the wooded areas. Don't forget that New Hampshire and New York also have the lakes and ocean as well as the mountains (which yes, we know aren't as big as in NM).
