I'm from SF, but I'd rather live in NYC.

NYC.

SF is a an OK place, but the nightlife sucks, the city lacks glamor, is inferior to NY in the arts and food, lacks the sophisticated NYC stores/shopping experience, lacks the upscale condominiums as they have in Manhattan, is too far from Europe for weekend getaways and is not a global cosmopolitan city. It's too small for me.

Re: Condos, There are a few, and none on the same caliber as the top notch ones in New York. And no, SF doesn't have nearly as many luxury shops as NY.

Manhattan is very glamorous. Nothing goes on in SF. No premiers, no media, no media events, no international elite, no celebrities, no galas on the scale as NY, no sports events, no fashion weeks, nothing!

I wouldn't live in either. They both cost an absurd amount $$$ and I can be just as happy somewhere less expensive.

As many no..we dont have a saks fith avenue or anything of the sort but to say the city lacks glamor and nothing happens here makes me doubt youve ever been here..growing up here I have seen just as much happen as anyone growing up in NY but its quite obvious where not on the same caliber as NY
but where still a world class city and I wouldnt trade this place for NY any day.

I have been to San Francisco many times and it is not on the same caliber as NY. It lacks nightlife, glamor, shopping, top notch galleries, museums and restaurants (in comparison to New York). It's a nice town, but small and a little provincial for me.

And I hate to be the bearer of bad news but San Francisco is at the bottom when it comes to world class city. Top world class = NY, Paris, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong.

That's not bad news that's just obvious..the nightlife here for me (im in my 20s) is incredible I couldnt ask for more it even stacks up with LA imho..shopping is also great and I still dont know what you mean by it lacks glamor and in comparison with restaurants id say were on par and we have amazing museums and galleries but NY is just to big it has much more..lets just agree to disagree I can find anything NY has here and a more beautiful setting imo plus closer to the things I love and you like NY more no harm dome
