Kansas City. I lived there years ago and got hit twice in a year by drivers with no insurance. Also (later 1960s) cops told me they averaged 210 accidents a day when it rained.
It seems like some people's definition of bad driving is going too fast or driving wrecklessly, personally I think bad driving is when people drive too slow and selfishly. So, you realize that you're in the left lane, which happens to be the passing lane, going 35 in a 65 but you don't give a crap? Thanks a lot....
Slowing down to 15 for stop signs, running red lights before they turn red, going 60mph down Broad Street. I76, the Boulevard's crossovers...
All this, and heaven, too ... And you'll get to heaven right quick if you're not careful!
When I first moved here, I was appalled at people jumping red lights to turn left in front of opposing traffic. But then I noticed even the cops do it. So it must be OK, right?
Running red lights is a city-wide sport. The highest number of cars I've counted running a light at any given intersection is nine. Nine cars. After the light turns red. Nine. But I'd guess the average is three or four.

The worst are the people going the speed limit in the left lane, trying to slow down other drivers because they are a "law-abiding citizen". Americans have horrible lane discipline. They need to stress lane discipline more in drives education classes. Those are the biggest causes for accidents, not speeding. Look at the Germans.
Indeed. I can't tell you how many times I've nearly been smashed by an SUV with NY tags at the Tonnele Circle.
Good God, I swear that Tonnelle and the roads around it have to be some of the worst I've driven on. Going northbound on Tonnelle last time I was that way (in June), I seriously thought I was going to snap a ball joint, some of those potholes are the size of craters.
Atlanta because they have too many slow drivers mixed in with crazy, fast drivers. Accidents often happen when people do the unexpected so I'm guessing that they have lots of accidents. Here in LA most everyone drives more or less the same.
But then again I see crazy amounts of accidents in Denver and Phoenix. Maybe they should be up there.
The absolute worst drivers in my experience are in Salt Lake City. Just terrible.
