Any prediction for 2009? If the economy does not rebound fast, many of us will be out of work.
Job losses among major U.S Cities
1. New York City, down 120,300 jobs
2. Detroit, down 89,700 jobs
3. Phoenix, down 86,800 jobs
4. Los Angeles, down 82,900 jobs
5. Atlanta, down 82,000 jobs
6. Miami-Fort Lauderdale, down 69,500 jobs
7. Chicago, down 59,100 jobs
8. Minneapolis-St. Paul, down 42,800 jobs
9. San Francisco-Oakland, down 41,400 jobs
10. Riverside-San Bernardino, Calif., down 38,500 jobs
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre is only down 2,600 jobs? Sheesh! From the way people talk in our metroplex you'd think the sky was quite literally falling onto their heads!
That's nothing, Florida down 255,200 in 2008. I predict it will only get worse in the sunshine state due to their lack of a diversified economy or any industry to speak of.
