^^ I hope so. I hope Chicago stays around its current population give or take a few hundred thousand. I like the current density of the city.

No. As dense as chicago is they could still use alot more peopleespecially on the south side where there are a lot of vacant lots

No, Chicago can use some more density. Especially on the far southside.

I've lived in both - I can see the comparison. Northside Chicago and anywhere within 2-3 miles of the Bkyn Bridge - lot's of similarities though both are unique in character.

Northside is just about right -

The southside should be D9'd and let nature take it back.

pretty sure this is what detroit is doing.
wouldn't be fair though, south and west sides have some of the nicest parks in the city, they just are surrounded by ghetto and drug dealers. I'd be all for tearing down some of the urban decay but not the historic landmarks.

Kinda hard to compare a city with a borough, but Brooklyn is definitely about 10,000 times cooler.

The level of urbanism in Brooklyn blows away Chicago. Park Slope makes Lincoln Park look like Schaumburg.

And I'll definitely take brownstones over bungalows.
