Northampton due to proximity to other places (it's also just a nice town). It's weird though, that you chose Northampton for the poll and not nearby Amherst which is home to upwards of 30,000 college kids among about 4 different schools. Any reasoning behind this? I'm not complaining because I love Northampton, but Amherst is what we consider "THE" college town out that way.

Asheville because it is not too far from my great city of Charlotte.

No Ithaca, NY, which is probably the most liberal city in the state next to NYC. Amherst, MA would be another one. What about New Brunswick/Piscataway in NJ? College Park, MD?

You need Missoula and Morgantown. And Athens, GA.

None there all close minded towns, if your not liberal you get treated down right mean. Your house gets egged, people rip off your bumber sticker, tear up your yard signs and they will yell at you at a gas station for supporting bush. These are all things that happened to me in madison in 6months then I moved.
