I would say Charlotte, easily. Go on their forum and and you'll see them arguing about who what local has the best NY style pizza. If you take a poll I bet there will be more people from NY,NJ, and PA than North Carolina folk. Yes, Atlanta does have a lot of Northerners and Mid-Westerners but we have transplants from the South here too (I think Charlotte just has Northerners).

New Orleans just reminds of a dense SOUTHERN city. It reminds me NOTHING of the North.

There are a lot of Ohio and Michigan transplants moving into Charlotte, I think there are some people coming here from Chicago as well, and I believe a lot of people are coming here from California and Florida now. But still, A lot of the transplants are coming from NY (mostly upstate NY), NJ, and PA.

What about Miami? I would say it has a lot of northern influence, considering it also has a lot of New Yorkers moving down there like Atlanta and Charlotte. I'm also surprised that a lot of people are saying that New Orleans has a lot of northern influence. To me it feels like a bigger version of Charleston, SC. That's what it felt like to me when I visited back in 1992.

I voted Charlotte. IMO, all the mentioned cities have retained southern culture in its own unique way. I don't see my home city of Charlotte doing that with the exception of NASCAR.
