I have an obsession to leave my hometown of Perth, Western Australia. It's nice and all, but if you've lived here your whole life you'll understand what I mean. It's literally 2000 km to the nearest city! It's insanely isolated, with no real interesting natural features except the beach and the bush. The city itself is small, the people too comfortable with their small town way of life.

If by hometown you mean city in which I live in now (Charlotte), then the answer is no. In fact, I've hated what it's become in the past 10 years.

Holy hell how many threads do you start a day?

Hometown will always be home, so always my favorite town.

It would be weird if I was.

My town is okay. It's a very small town. Nice sense of community here. But there's not a lot of opportunities here.

I love my hometown. My sister does, too. We're happy we went to good schools and have a good library and get to be with mostly down-to-earth people. Plus we have great restaurants and just...life. I love to see and hear the traffic because I lived in a very rural area for a while and couldn't stand it. It suits me well and there's nothing like it.

I love my hometown of Houston. I've lived in many places and visited many more, but I've returned here for a reason. I could easily see myself living elsewhere though, and I'll probably leave here again, especially if my work calls for it. However, I'll eventually return here for retirement, and if not to Houston specifically, then at least to Texas.
