Next you people will be saying MAINE is Southern too. Give it up. I spent my summers in Indiana as a child. MIDWESTERN. They did not think of themselves are Southern.

The Civil War is OVER. The South LOST.

One small part. You cannot paint an entire state from one small part. That would be like saying the entire state of NY is just like NYC. Absurd.

1. Missouri
2. Indiana
3. Maryland
4. New Mexico
5. Kansas
5. Ohio
6. Delaware
7. Pennsylvania
8. Arizona
9. D.C.
10. Illinois
None of these states are southern, with the exception of rural part of Maryland and the southern tip of Missouri. Scratch the rest off this list, ESPECIALLY ILL, PA, and DEL. Nothing, I mean absolutely nothing, southern about these fine states. Not even close.

No more absurd than your blanket statement that the entire state considers themselves MIDWESTERNERS.

Indiana is a big state, and the southern reaches of it have a distinctively southern flavor. I mean, come on - they border Kentucky.
