Which cities in the U.S. have the most amount of people living in them that where born elsewhere? The most transplanted residents? Or the other hand which cities have the least amount of transplanted residents and are very provincial in thinking and culture?
This is a question that can be answered via actual statistics and probably should not be left to boardmember prejudices.

It is not meant to be an insult as I like Boston alot. I know a fair amount about Boston and its attractions and have visited a number of times. However I am not too familiar with the migration patterns there. All the people I met there personally said they were born there so that is what I based it on.

Yea I don't get that....except for a few outerlying neighborhoods, in Boston you hardly ever find anyone who is actually from Boston...everyone is always from someplace else and a lot of people who say they are from Boston are typically from the suburbs....
Whenever I tell someone that I am from downtown Boston they are always suprised to meet an actual Bostonian who grew up in the heart of the city....
Of all the people I've met in my 7 years in Chicago, only 3 of them actually grew up in the city. I'd say 20% came from around the United States outside the Midwest, 50% from around the Midwest, and 30% from the suburbs. Strangely of all the hundreds of people who are from Iowa/Indiana/Suburbs in Illinois/Wisconsin/Michigan/Ohio, I never met anyone who was from Illinois outside the Chicago metro. Not sure where they all go...but not to Chicago.
