Which city/metro area would you most like to live in. Why?
NY cause I live here, I love it, and can't imagine wanting to leave. Other places that think they have what NYC has to offer are kidding themselves. Even if the suburban life is what you crave you can even have that right here in the five boroughs.
New York= would live there if it wasn't so expensive.
Chicago= mini New York. Get the most for your money.
Boston= ok city. Nice to visit but I wouldn't live there for personal reasons.
Vegas= i'd visit but would never live there.
LA= wouldn't mind living. But could care less for the mundane weather.
Miami= same as LA.
Phoenix= nothing against Phoenix. but this is not a city I would live in.
SF= see New York.
Dallas= See LA.
Houston= See LA but could easily live here.
Philly= great city. Wouldn't live there though.
I like 4 seasons and an urban environment. New York, Chicago, Philly, and Boston are the best cities for that on this list.
For an urban environment you can add San Francisco to that list.
In the summertime I'd want to be in Chicago over ANY other city in the country hands down. Nightlife until 5 am, the beaches, block parties every weekend, Lollapalooza, Taste of Chicago, Music festivals, Art festivals, etc etc etc.
Most of the events in the summer are free, the city is full of energy, and you can actually afford to live like a king.
My runner ups would be LA, San Francisco, and NYC. They are all great cities with tons to do. When its cold out I'd actually prefer LA or NYC. When its above 50 degrees though give me sweet home Chicago.

NYC since it's my home, but I would love to live in Las Vegas. Wanted to move there, but the teacher salaries out there are awful. I live more comfortably here. Maybe for retirement. Las vegas has a similar "feeling" that you get being in NYC. It's hard to describe that feeling. Even though it doesn't compare to NY, it's nice in its own way, which is why I like it there. I don't know if I'd have the guts to leave NY though, I love it here.
I picked Houston (of course), but I could easily live in Dallas as well.
