Those are 2 lackluster views of both JC and Buffalo, I'm guessing it was intentional? (when compared to your other beautiful photos)
They may not showcase the buildings as well as possible, but I love that the sky and water are the same color/shades in these two pics. Great work, Buffalonian!

I wanted to portray both cities from a distant view. So yes it was intentional, and thanks for the complement , these were actually (I forgot to mention!!!) pictures from my Flickr Buddies, we let eachother use our shots. All other pictures I post are of my taking however.

What type of picture view would you like me to portray of these cities? I have quite a few I have taken from each one.

I really like these views of Buffalo though, I took it from the marina two weeks ago, I wish I had some night ones of Jersey City though...

Jersey City from NYC:

(my pics from summer 2008) -

From my website:

I'm not gunna lie, Jersey City's skyline is awesome, I can't deny.

It's got a very nice "true triangle" skyline! - Could use some more historic flair in my opinion, however. :

Jersey City and NYC:

WO I Love your Buffalo and JC shots!
Considering your name, i think tou're pretty fair and open minded.

But you're right about JC's lack of historic flare, but look gow it looked almost 20 years ago. (1990)

But no one can deny the amazing boom of a skyline! It's something people are just noticing across the river.

Thanks for the kind comment. I have quite a bit of civic pride in my area, and decided recently that I had too much and was beginning to be disrespectful to other cities. I've always had an interest in urban centers, downtowns, and skylines of America - specifically the northeast, in fact I tour cities and take pictures to reveal inner beauty in them. Why? Well, it has been my passion for urban photography that has really made me want a variety of different areas to photo tour. I love America and its cities, however nothing will compare to my hometown, my beautiful hidden treasure city of Buffalo, and I am here for life - nothing will change that.

Yes, it is amazing what can happen to a city's skyline overtime. In Buffalo nothing really new has been added in 30+ years, and if these two cities were compared 30 years ago or so, there would be no question Buffalo would win. However, times have changed, and these are two very different cities.

The first pic there is from one of the Twin Towers () showing how small Jersey City's skyline was! What a difference only 20 years makes! Congrats to JC, as Buffalo has been stuck in the past and can never get things done easily. Times are getting better and easier for Buffalo now, as construction is finally starting to occur more often than ever (since its boom back from 1800s to 1950s).

Yea it is. And o yea you're right about the WTC view! that's so sad, i lived in JC during college seing the whole inncident happen, i shook all day and couldn't sleep

But yea, there would be no comparison of Buff./JC if it was 1990 or even 1995 for that matter, So Buffalo still gets a whole lot of props for being so powerful for so long. and JC gets props for an amazing boom of a skyline so quick.

My thoughts exactly. Both great skylines with great reasons. Personally it's actually a tuff decision to vote, yet Buffalo IMO still gets my credit, and no it's not because I live there!!! I'm a big Historic+New guy... Both of these city skyilnes on this poll are pretty much neck and neck, as they are both wonderful American skylines.

...About WTC Twin Towers: That was a sad day! I was in complete and utter shock at the news, being in the same state and country, we're all in this together really. Being a twin, when I used to play basketball they called both of us the "twin towers" - being very tall as we were. That name didn't stick to us much after that horrid tragedy.
