Los Angeles County has only 28. I don't think Newport Beach should be lumped in with Los Angeles.

..and why does Dallas have about the same amount of billionaires as Los Angeles (our largest county in the usa)?? whats going on in Dalllas?????

And the most smug, snobby, and pretentious part too! But I guess some people actually like that, I sure as hell don't miss that aspect about it. To each their own I guess....

Why? It's in the same metropolitan area. If you did that then you'd have to take out Silicon Valley for the SF Bay Area, which would probably drop SF's totals significantly as well as do that to other metro areas.

This is about how I pictured it. I would've imagined Boston, Seattle, Atlanta and San Diego ranking a little higher, though. Perhaps those cities aren't good enough for billionaires to live in.

I'm surprised that so many people are surprised that Dallas ranked so high. Dallas has always been the home of corporate/regional headquarters for big soulless mega corporations. It is also the 'second home' for many top earning execs across the country. There's a reason why the city gets so much hype and buzz from the media. It might also explain why it boasts in having one of the stronger job markets in this country.

Mayor Bloomberg still takes the subway to work, despite how much money he has.

And now we see that the above mentioned characteristics are not completely without merit after all.

There's never a reason or excuse to be like that, except in some people's minds of course.

The liberal mindset in Massachusetts would tax them back into the millionaire's club.
