311 must be the distress call for unbearable heat indexes

phoenix is young and catching up, its downtown will improve. San Antonio is like a million years old its all downhill from here baby

Really? I find San Antonio's downtown mostly lacking. I mean it's nice, but compared to other cities...

Don't care for Phoenix's either. I guess SA's downtown is better, but I don't think it's the greatest, just has a lot of history. While I love SA's hill country, I love Phoenix's desert mountains.

I was in downtown Dallas last week and downtown Houston 3 days ago. Houston has a nice and lively downtown up until 7 PM, then it dies.

San Antonio has the lively downtown for Texas. That's a known fact, followed by Fort Worth.

dry air causes havoc on my body. I prefer the mountain west myself

The A/C adds to the humidty! Moisture in the air + moisture in A/C = horrible.

I live where there is dry heat and I can tell you AC helps a lot. I don't know what you're talking about saying otherwise.

nope, apart from cooling, an air conditioner also extracts humidity. My Dad has an AC company, and one of the things they do when they test performance is how much moisture in the air the AC is removing.

I am not saying that the ac doesn't help with the coolness, all I am saying is that it doesn't help with the dry air, and the dry air affects me more

Haha! Htown has a girl.

I think we need to look at this:

Phoenix metro:4,364,034
San Antonio metro:2,031,445

Phoenix is basically double the size of San Antonio. Of course it has a better metro and more things to do. Plus it's very beautiful.
