LA beaches. Overall longer dry season, and don't have to spend two 3 months of the year worrying if a hurricane is coming.

80-90%+ of the rain in SoFla is in the form of passing 30-40 minute thunderstorm after which it becomes sunny again , unless there is the infrequent 2-3 day front. There also is a dry season from November through the end of June and a reason FL is known as The Sunshine State, not rainshine state..

Of course, in Miami we can go to the beach far more often in the 4 winter months than LA, and I am talking sunbathing and actually going in the water without a wetsuit—not showing up in a sweatshirt on a bike and counting it as a beach day just because we showed up as Californians often do.

We might have to worry about the once every 10-15 year hurricane hitting Miami Beach but we don’t have to worry about unpredictable earthquakes and/or if we can get to the beach if a more frequent occuring wildfire is in our path.

In certain sections we can have food and beverage (including alcohol, in plastic cups) served and brought to us on Miami Beach.

And we have this, and more, on our beaches:

I don’t see how one could claim LA has better beaches.
