That's pretty funny comment as either you like New York or not it is the only city with a mayor who is a real billionaire (number 6 in the US) and works truly pro publico bono not collecting a dime from his salary (goes to charity). I guess being as rich as Bloomberg he could win/buy elections anywhere in the country but not even being from New York (Boston) he chose to spend exorbitant amount of on his campaingn to become the mayor of New York.

I would go with New York, too. Being the largest US city, hosting UN and Wall Street you get exposure like no other mayor in the country. Mayor of New York is a prominent title. No other mayor has so amny prominent institutions on his turf.

Probably a small Pacific Northwest or New England town. Anything else would be too much of a headache.

Chicago. I would boot all the Democraps who have driven this city and state into its death bed, then turn around Chicago's political stance from NATIONAL EMBARASSMENT to NATIONAL PRIDE.

Screw the Dems. Theyve destroyed IL through and through. Not only have they drug us through the mud, but they kick us while they do it. Then they somehow get voted in again and again by my brainless neighbors who are both blind and deaf.

Chicago is gonna be corrupt whether dem or rep, it seems to be in its nature.

Hey ok, screw IL dems for sure...but Dems as a whole? nah...

personally I'm an (I) and very skeptical of both or anybody wanting power, most have illegitimate reasons, and have yet to vote for a winning president having voted in 3 elections

here is my recent scenario...

was in Chicago, thought what you thought... now in Florida, think the same, about the R's here... so, it works both ways.

Look at this. This is the first ever I am going to agree with Steve-o.
It's real shame what is going in Chicago and I can't understand why there are not term limits for public officials... What the h*ll happened to democracy right in the middle of the US???

But before you go and get rid of politicians in Chicago you would have to change the popular Chicago mindset which is "I do not care", "it's always been like this" and even worse "corruption built this city" (real quote). I have been always complaining about the lack of citizen activism in Chicago and we all know that complacent, resigned constituence is the fastest way to corrupt and arrogant governments. If you do not change the public's mindset the next local government after you will go back to the good old ways of doing business. It's not the DEMs like Blago and not the REPs like Ryan. Chicago people have to change first.
