Menino has many flaws (don't get me started on the parking situation or potholes), but we do not need term limits to decide who should be mayor - that is what elections are for.

Yes, the system is biased towards incumbents - they can raise the money and they have the entire city hall workforce working on their behalf. But term limits is not the answer as it takes away our right to vote for the candidate we want.

There are a lot of people happy with Menino and they should be allowed to vote for him and have their vote count.

Term limits was a knee-jerk reaction to disappointment and corruption in government. What we really need is publicly financed elections with spending limits.

Hey, I agree with you, but there is a certain individual on this thread who believes that democracy cannot exist without term limits. From what I could tell when I lived there, Menino seems to be a fairly effective mayor.

LOL, dem fine turn a blind eye to your own problems to rant about a city that you have no affiliations with. Whatever floats your boat, man. I just think your vitriol is hilarious. How many hours of your life are you wasting ranting like some lunatic, making the same argument over and over about a city that is supposedly not on your radar screen.

You know what, Chicago was here before you were born and it'll be here after you die. Get over it already and move onto something else. Or not because you're amusing.

By the way, Fitzgerald may be from Brooklyn, but Chicago made him a household name. He owes as much to this city as we do to him. That's called scratching each others' backs.

Isn't the new archbishop of NYC a hick? Milwaukee, stand the **** up!

Can't a mod just ban all of dementor and his aliases posts? It's a simple thing to do an IP check. It's annoying to see the thread go on and then look and see I'm not missing anything- just more posts by obvious trolls that I've already ignored.

dementor has been revealed to be a liar several times over at this point, don't take him seriously. Don't give him attention.

Well, Blago story continues so Illlinois and Chicago continues to be a laughinstock of the nation. Many people woudl ask how this delusional, arrognat individual got elected as governor. Well, every nation, and every state has elites and governments it can afford.

Tsk, tsk, tsk. Again, Chicago's megalomania. Fitzgerald was an accomplished and famed attorney before he moved to Illinois. He is the one prosecuting CIA leak. Surprisinly like Chicago has to depend on New York to clean up its own dirt.

I have an idea to get us back on track. Everybody post your best picture of Chicago, Boston, or NYC. Then we can really compare apples to apples. Try to only post pictures that you actually took. I'll start us out:
