I felt fine all the time walking in Ozone Park. I would much rather teach there than the neighborhood I teach in in the south Bronx. It's a step up lol.
I do not know Bronx that much besides Riverdale but that does not count as a real Bronx experience so I have to take your word for it.
Yeah, it's a pretty pointless thread. We always end up talking about NYC proper anyway with these questions about the suburbs lol.
Well, is anybody getting excited about Hoboken or Jersey City?
We all know those places are "on the map" because of their proximity to the city. Nobody moves to Jersey City because they did not like it in Tribeca...

Is Stroudsburg that bad? I know people from NYC/Long island who have moved there. I've been all over PA many times for hockey, but I never remember the specific towns I've been to. I'm sure I've been there, just don't remember.
The NY guys will try & dominate this thread with the ubiquitous, dismissive "whatever" attitude.
Why? Who knows.
Hoboken is very, very nice. Jersey City is & has made tremendous strides. Newark has a long, long way to go, but has greater infrastructure & cultural currency than either city mentioned.
I don't understand why these things irritate NY'ers so much.
When you step back & take a look at it from the outside, some of you seem quite sad.
Should NJ's urban areas continue to suffer for your apparently fragile & paper thin personality types?
It's madness perpetuated by the weak in the NY heard.
