1) Colorado-Skiing, beautiful countryside, Liberals (in Denver), great hunting.
2) Wyoming-Wide open spaces, beautiful, freedom, gun friendly, Conservative, hunting, cold in winter.
3) Montana-Cold! beautiful, free, gun friendly, Conservative, great hunting.
4) New Mexico-perfect weather, great hunting, gun friendly, unfortunately too close to Mexico and all it's inherent problems.
Now, I understand that as of now, the Mexican problems seem not to be too bad in NM but I can't help but think it's coming sooner or later. A shame as it's a beautiful state.
Colorado - Living in Denver during the pits of my life
Wyoming- Driving in a large empty basin to visit my brother on Thanksgiving. Yellowstone national Park!
Montana- I want to see Glacier next year
New Mexico - A basin desert state where my sister in law is from.
Two are personal for me, as after you finally go to a place you think of it how you experienced it. The other two are my impressions I have before going there.
1) Colorado - great skiing, majestic Rockies, pretty, fun, but kinda weird under the surface
2) Wyoming - one of my dream destinations yet to visit - open country and blue sky and amazing natural beauty; also, I think "mormons"
3) Montana - BIG SKY, amazing natural beauty from striking mountains to rolling hills and plains and lots of valleys and rivers (a river runs through it)
4) New Mexico - beautiful, peaceful, earthy, historic, Indian territory, comfortable, wonderful and great, delicious food - I think "red and green", and sopas and Little Anita's, the Rockies meet the desert (Sandia Peak)
I hope none of that was considered gloating, lol
