I meant MAJOR AMERICAN.He destryed many cities in his "March To the Sea".But none as big as Atlanta was at the time or at least today.

Well you didn't say "major city" and Atlanta really wasn't a major city at the time (and as far as I know, Atlanta was the only city that was actually burned to the ground in Sherman's march). In 1860, the city had 9,554 people and was the 3rd largest city in GA behind Savannah, Augusta, and Columbus.

Philly looks like so many other citys can you name one city thats skyline is similar to atlantas???????
