I am not a big fan of Houston as a city, but I think its skyline is more impressive. It's got almost triple the number of 500 footers (32 vs 12, per emporis) and about double the number of total skyscrapers as Philly. Of course people can make all kinds of subjective stylistic arguments, but size, height and density are the only objective measures we got, and Houston has got a decided advantage on at least two of those three (they both have good density).

I agree with height but when it comes to size and density, absolutely not.

Size is subjective.

If we're talking strictly downtowns, yes, Philly's CBD is larger in area.

Density, of course Philly as Houston beat, its an East Coast city.

That said, Houston's massive skyline towers over Philly's.

Philly has more density in the cbd but Houston has more height and much more skyscrapers outside downtown.

Houston uptown skyline.

Philadelphia's skyline reminds me of Midtown Atlanta in that they overdo it with the tapering crowns, atleast for me.

Architecture is only one factor, but Philly does beat Houston in this department. That's just my opinion.

You quoted me, seemingly in attempt to "correct" what I was saying. You suggested that by judging a "city's skyline" people are talking specifically about downtowns. That obviously wasn't the case with this thread, so you should have left it alone.
