I like Row Homes. I have seen a lot of Bungalows from Chicago on HGTV's House Hunters show and they have very nice insides. They sure don't build homes like that any more.

NY brownstones ARE rowhomes.

L.A

i hate cities with old industrail stinky buildings and stuff... L.A has a clean look to it, i don't feel "grimey" in most parts

I love the old sections of the south - old New Orleans, old Galveston, etc. Love that old Victorian architecture.

I like Chicago's neat Bungalows and tree-lined neighborhoods:

Greater Grand Crossing, Chicago, IL - Google Maps
Norwood Park, Chicago IL - Google Maps
Auburn Gresham, Chicago, IL - Google Maps

Chicago, totally! I LOVE the brick bungalow and/or 2/3 story homes that dominate the entire city. They aren't quite as compact as NYC or Philly and they can look beautiful as well. I wish Minneapolis built more of its housing in brick (some places do, but not as widespread as Chicago), but then again a fire never burnt down our entire city!

why are these the only options? you left off a number of very architecturally significant cities.

san francisco?
boston?
saint louis?
washington, dc?
baltimore?
