St. Louis is "home" for me. I grew up 25 minutes outside of it. Low cost of living, laidback, still more cultural things to do than where I live now. (More than I ever realized while I lived in the area as a kid).

DC - well, I love DC. There is a LOT to do - more than you could probably ever get around to doing. More people - but probably a little more "impersonal," being such a large city where most people are transplants. The traffic and cost of living are huge downfalls for me, though.

I guess these are wildly different cities, but I am trying to figure out where to apply for jobs!

Well the job market in DC is one of the best in the country thanks to the federal government. So from a strictly business standpoint Dc wpuld win.

Yeah, probably DC would be the best fit for you. Intelligence analyst jobs aren't very plentiful in St. Louis.

I've lived in St. Louis before and well ... it's alright. But DC has more variety and is more fun in my honest opinion.

You probably need to be able to work, so you need to go where you can find work.

That said, I love St. Louis myself.

National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency has major facility in St.Louis...right across the street from AB-Inbev...next to the river.
