That map knows better. If Syracuse isn't in the Rustbelt, then something is wrong. It is definitely a city that is in transistion from being a manufacturing center to one that is based more on education, health care and some high tech industries.

You responded to my post telling ME that I need to learn geography (I did not view that as a personal attack nor was I offended) and then I put a counter argument saying YOU needed to learn Rust Belt geography. I was not attacking you personally, merely offering a counter argument, and you are getting really touchy about this.

Well, I don't know...but the Rustbelt must stop somewhere, and it stops before it gets to Syracuse. The link you provided substantiates this.
*Is Philly, Chicago, Boston, New York, and D.C. rustbelt? I they are okay, if not some people need to read the thread title.
*I hear some talk about being environmentally friendly (or something close) and I just have to say that, "Stop the bs please?", it's ridiculous. I would put money on California having more people who care about the environment than the entire rustbelt...If you rustbelters really cared about the environment (we all know that you don't) than match your California counterparts who live in trees, and convert their toilet water into fresh spring (tasting) water, reuse their milk after eating cerael, who wash their hands and save the water so they can water their garden in their back yard, etc. Okay, I forgot what else that California family did but I bet the rustbelters on here don't care about the earth that much.
What about college sports? College sports are a lot more passionate and exciting than pro sports. Tuscaloosa, Baton Rouge, Austin, Gainsville and many more football stadiums get louder on fall saturdays than any NFL stadium in the rust belt.
Okay, did you forget about the Big 10? Our fans make your fans look like sissies (Although I will admit OSU has a prblem with FSU that is still unexplained....)
University of Southern California, Trojans. I'll just use them against any rustbelt school, it really doesn't matter.
