Phoenix ( also rather live there than Charlotte), city-data statistics predict it's population change is +18.7% from 2000-2008.

Phoenix, its southwest location and culture is much better.

I think the housing style (architecture) in Phoenix runs rings around Charlotte, but I prefer Charlotte overall.
