Elements of Scranton and Philly combined, but closer in size to Scranton and closer in proximity to Philly. Crime ridden inner city, similar to that of other south-central and southeastern PA mid-size/small cities (see Harrisburg, York, and Reading). Nice suburbs (Lehigh Valley).

San Antonio, TX

One of our favorite places to visit. VERY beautiful city. If the cost of living wasn't so high, it would be one of the few metros in the U.S. I could see myself living.

Spokane, WA

Most oil production of any county in the US. Extensive agriculture as well.
Prime example of American suburban sprawl, with no skyline to speak of.
Severe pollution somewhat offset by position next to Sequioa National Forest.

Ames, IA
