Affluent suburb of NYC. I always think of the Martha Moxley murder case when I hear about Greenwich. Sad.

Texas Folklife Festival and the ITC. The Alamo (obviously.) The Riverwalk. Turned down a job I was offered there because it's just too dang hot. Have a set of dishes I bought there.

More livable than people realize. The lakefront on Lake Superior is really beautiful. But very cold, cloudy, gloomy, and snowy in the Winter.

Quincy, MA (where my wife was raised)

Beautiful Henry Hobson Richardson public library. The first of the MBTA's "Second Subway Era" extensions ended there originally; it's since been extended to Braintree. County seat of Norfolk County, as if counties matter in Massachusetts - or any other New England state, for that matter, anymore.

Independence, Mo.

The 2nd coming of Jesus! (If you're Mormon.) Has one of the best public library genealogy departments (it's a whole library branch building) in the U.S. (Mormons, again.) The day I went there it was horridly hot.

Sioux City, IA
