BTW MrJester, I LOVE your description of Covington! It is an amazing place. Would love to retire there.

Really nice posh suburb. Good for those who want a good family life and can afford it

Most dangerous/ghetto inner city I have ever personally seen and visited many times. Needles, jaywalkers, loud music, block parties, homeless. Lot of historical buildings and row houses. Surrounding area is very rural farmland.

Edit: actually I visited Baltimore once for a day and that was worse.

Fort Wayne, IN

Pretty typical midwestern, all-American city in the heart of the midwest. Makes me think of Bob Evans.

We had to travel there to pick up a car when we were living around Memphis, TN.

It seemed like a nice city with a definite Southern feel; not deep South. Very scenic with plenty of lakes and the Pickwick Dam & Tennessee River.

I also associate music festivals and the Renaissance Festival with Florence.

Muskegon, MI?

West Michigan, I would choose Grand Rapids over it. It appears to have crime issues and not growing very much.

Richmond, IN

A city that seems to punch well below its weight. The warm weather seems nice but otherwise it's not high on my list of potential destinations in California.

Fort Lauderdale, FL

Dupont, Winterthur, incorporation, around the halfway point between DC and NYC. Feels like a miniature Baltimore/Philly.

Egg Harbor township, NJ
