Pleasant/Quaint town within the Louisville metro area, only a matter of time before it starts getting absorbed into the urban area.
East Grand Rapids Michigan?
A suburb just east of Grand Rapids. And is centered around Reeds(or is it Reed's?) Lake. Used to have an amusement park within it, which closed after 1955. Also, it was the former home of where ex-president Gerald Ford lived.
For Lihue, it is the county seat of Kauai. And is the 2nd most populated place, on the Hawaiian island of Kauai.
Now for a small Michigan town I had been to before: Niles, MI
Now for a small Michigan town I had been to before: Niles, MI
Niles is a pleasant enough small town that I actually passed through just last week. My impression is that it basically functions as a suburb of South Bend, though it does have its own downtown. For years, its City Hall was the historic Henry A. Chapin House, a stunning Queen Anne style beauty complete with turrets, towers, and the like. In my humble opinion, one of the greatest architectural crimes in South Michigan history was the construction of Niles' current City Hall; a horrific and dystopian-looking brutalist nightmare.
Looks like a wholly prototypical and unremarkable Oakland County suburb in Metro Detroit. Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum looks interesting. Larger black population than I expected, at 17%.
Popular suburb of DC with often large crowds on weekend nights. Also home to The Fillmore Silver Spring, a busy concert venue booking bands/acts of all genres.
