Tourists want to see big buildings, bright lights in NYC, not trees. They can see trees where they come from. That is why the tree lined streets are in the neighborhoods so the NEW YORKERS can see them,

What to tourists want to see who come to LA or Miami from other parts of the country? Palm trees, which they cannot see in Minnesota, etc., etc.

You mean residential neighborhoods and streets. But they wanna see trees, too. Does the most visited city park, Central Park, ring any bells?

I would hope, and expect, a park to have trees.

LA has tree lined streets too.
I LOVE the pic. And I agree. A tree is a tree. And I enjoy palm trees the BEST out of ALL trees.

Since when do they determine Soul by what type a tree a city has? What's so superficial about palm trees? Palm trees don't have charm? What is so "souless" about LA? And what makes NYC soulful? Can you explain?(If you don't mind) Both cities have SOUL.

It's a matter of personal taste. I find palm trees ugly and grotesque. I try as much as I can to ignore them. Very difficult since they are all over.

I will be very happy when I never have to see another one in my life.

Polo, I thought instead of attacking BCreass you might have responded to this. But I guessed wrong.
