I'm not really arguing that LA has more trees. I bet NYC prolly does. I was just posting pics to show that LA is not all a barren desert with no trees.
The Catalina pics were to show that LA has a wide variety of lifestyles and we have awesome islands like that.
With all that said, I don't like LA that much. I don't like middle-class neighborhoods here because they are either still unsafe or extremely boring. To live in a fun area that is also safe, you have to be extremely wealthy and live in either Santa Monica, Los Feliz, Beverly Hills, Hollywood Hills, downtown Manhattan Beach, downtown Hermosa Beach, or a few other areas. In NYC, living in a middle-class neighborhood is doable because you are still close to the amentities of upper-class citizens, but don't have to pay the same prices. I live in the most boring part of LA, near LAX, and anything fun is at least 20 minutes away, sometimes 40 or 50 minutes with traffic.
Sorry to get mad, I dont think you were paying any attention to our conversation. 1) Those pictures are completely different the LA picture is from the side view and the manhattan pictures is from thousands of feet in the air. 2) I already stated that just because you cant see them doesn't mean you have more trees. Most of our buildings are taller than the trees. So of course it will look like there aren't. Im guessing you didn't click on each neighbor like I suggested.

so sad. The people that live here are so pessimistic.
Beautiful Pics, and that's just Manhattan so one can only imagine how much trees the other 4 boroughs have, LA is slightly larger than NYC but I still find it hard to believe that it has more trees than NYC.
During summer yes, but during winter it's the opposite. LA is green while NY is brown.
NYC has some evergreen trees as well (not as much as deciduous trees) and they remain green, and although I hate Winter those trees look beautiful covered in snow.
See, I like that. That's EXACTLY how I feel. NYC vs LAcity limits, I think NYC would win. But LAmetro as a Whole can take on NYC metro as a whole. That's how I feel.
