Since when do they determine Soul by what type a tree a city has? What's so superficial about palm trees? Palm trees don't have charm? What is so "souless" about LA? And what makes NYC soulful? Can you explain?(If you don't mind) Both cities have SOUL.
Easy: New York is older and naturally has more charm and character, even if parts of it are somewhat "gritty". There were two pictures; one of New York and one of Los Angeles. The New York picture showed and old, tree lined street that probably hasn't changed much since the 1950's, while the street in Los Angeles was just palm trees and rich cookie cutter homes. Each to his/her own, but I'd take the charm and character (and soul) of New York over Los Angeles anyday.
Polo, I thought instead of attacking BCreass you might have responded to this. But I guessed wrong.
What he/she fails to understand is that I don't see what he/she wrote as an attack...I agree...Miami is a cesspool and seriously, I'd take LA over Miami, but preferably, I'd rather not live in either.
I'm just defending LA. I don't agree with HollywoodEnquiers comments. When BCreass said what he said about palms, that also means Miami. If you read BCreass other posts in other forums about Miami you can see that he/she hates Miami also, and probably hates Miami more then HollywoodEnquier. So I'm going with the lesser of 2 evils, because I really like LA. And I like NYC also, but that was an attack on ALL palm treed cities including specifically LA, but probably including Miami.
Hate is such a strong word, but you're right...I'm certainly not partial to Miami.

Like you said to each there own, who's to say which one has charm or character? One may look at the palm tree lined streets and see charm or character, and see the NYC one, and see old and unwillingness to change.
