Give it up...LA isn't even close to being in NY's league and as for Miami, it's even further away and far down the pecking order.

What do you mean LA isnt close to NYS league. Doesnt LA have the third largest GDP of a city while NYC is number 2? Aren't the metro areas the two largest in the US? Dont they both attract the super wealthy and all different cultures? I understand you prefer New York but to say LA is not even close to it is kind of ridiculous. I agree with Miami though...it has a lot of money but a lot of it is from New York who just live in Florida for tax purposes.

No, Miami's money is Latin American money, and tourist money. Those retired New Yorkers don't do much good.

LA really isn't close to being in NY's league? How isn't it?

Yep, and Palm Beach County is in Miami Metro Area, but they're not the main source of the money down there. A majority of the retirees down there aren't that wealthy, and most retirees in Florida tend to live in the Southwestern areas.

funny I was reading articles there are few NYC billionaires who "live" in Florida to escape NY taxes. I'm guessing this is more widespread, I remember always see so many Florida plates (like ferrari's and such) driving in Manhattan.

Derek Jeter "lives" in Florida even though he's rarely there. S. FL is a haven for tax cheats.

The number of cars New York / New Jersey plates in South Florida is even more astounding. Boca Raton feels like Brooklyn
