Miami has the best climate of the three IMO.

I'd probably choose to live in the Los Angeles Metro or the Miami Metro, LA seems more family friendly though.
I agree with you, all 3 are great in their own way,

HOWEVER, I DISAGREE on CLIMATE: Miami has the best climate from Nov. to April. Los Angeles has the best climate from April through October.

Lol I love Palm Trees, I've seen quite a few Palms on Long Island (and NYC), as a matter of fact I saw some a few weeks ago by JFK.

there were a few in mall on LI by my daughter. Maybe they can string lights around them like here so they look like lighted slinkys. Wonder how they will look in February covered in snow.

NYC/Long Island can support a few species of Palms believe it or not, some remove them before the Winter but I've seen some still alive in rainy 50 degree February weather last Winter so they had to make it past January.

It depends on what kind of Palm it is, NYC/Long Island doesn't get too cold in the Winter, we wouldn't be in hardiness zone 7b/8a if we were super-cold lol.

Palmetto Palms seem to survive the cold weather as I remember seeing them on New Jersey beaches in photos, any other types would have to be taken out before the cold weather.
