For world cities

Galway, Ireland - Seems to be strong in Irish language and culture. Although Cork might be interesting too as they have a bit more variety and even a jazz festival.

Salzburg, Austria - Culture, history, and mountains.

Wellington, New Zealand - New Zealand sounds interesting.

True, but I love Vermont!
Burlington is a great town with loads of snow. Actually went to bed at the Hampton Inn one night and could not find my car the next morning, buried in snow drifts

...and I think that the heavy snowfall is one of its selling points; I can recall shoveling on many a Christmas Day, BEFORE opening any presents, but it was incredibly beautiful.

Interesting that some people wrote Seoul...I lived there for almost 8 years. Now I'm living in Japan. I'm white american guy who also lived in New York City, San Francisco, Portland Oregon, Minneapolis, and Brazil and Spain for awhile.

I've been hitting most of the really cool places I'd always dreamed of as a city. Now I keep wondering where to go after my time ends in Japan - no end in sight though.

U.S.: Honolulu, Los Angeles and Las Vegas all look interesting. I've even thought of Sacramento or Pittsburgh, even though they aren't dream destinations by any means.

International: Well, after having lived in Asia, South America and Europe....I've kind of hit everywhere I'd wanted to go. I like Osaka a lot. I'm also going to visit Okinawa and Macau this summer. I've been wondering if those are places I'd love to live someday. I'm pretty much done with Europe. In South America, I loved Brazil, but Cartagena Colombia appeals to me, without having been there yet.

Yes, but does'nt that put you in the mood. Snowflakes a falling, I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, Frosty, Fireside chats, etc., have to admit that is much more fun than having a plastic Santa on a stick rammed down into hard clay, sitting atop dormant Bermuda grass, at 60 degrees and to think, that is winter, if you don't pick Santa up, by June he too will melt

Yes, I am a polar bear. Give me the cool areas, the snow, the Green Mountains, no billboards, friendly folk, good ice cream, great syrup, and an icy Lake Champlain. Add in some day trips to Montreal and I'm all set. Will trade that for the hot, humid, dirty south anyday.
