Ok. Now I know the mods don't like this, but I know some of you love it..... but I will let these ride out instead of posting a new one every 3 or 4 days, so the Big Heads of City-Data will be pleased.
This is the STATE version. I'm doing 10 for every 5 in the series just like the cities, only ALL states will be included. And if you don't know how, then you must have flunked 1st grade geography and 2nd grade math.
Anyway.....

What comes to mind when you hear....:

- California

- Texas

- New York

- Florida

- Ohio

- North Dakota

- Rhode Island

- West Virginia

- Idaho

- Maine

- California- sun tanned bodies

- Texas- everything's bigger

- New York- money

- Florida- latin

- Ohio- unemployment

- North Dakota- miles of nothing

- Rhode Island- is it really an island?

- West Virginia- backwoods

- Idaho- veggies

- Maine- progressive

That's just the first thing that popped in my mind. Of course when given further thought I don't think any state can be summed up so easily.

- New York-upstate is honestly one of the most beautiful and underrated regions of the country, NYC is stellar. I think a truly great state.

- Florida- Disney, Miami, cubans, white sand beaches, maximum security prisons, crime

- Ohio- THE BEST STATE IN THE COUNTRY, diverse, well-connected

I know this is suppose to be fun and all but it's clear that you know absolutely NOTHING about the state of Texas. NOTHING whatsoever. If anyone doesn't have tolerance, it is you.
