I've been to KC,Nashville,Memphis,Cincinnati,Indianapolis,Chica go and New Orleans and live in St.Louis and STL feels much bigger (and I think is) than every one of thise cities other than Chicago of course..Like one person said on here already,St.Louis' skyline is not as photogenic as KC but, once you get close to it in person it will amaze you on how much bigger it looks than KC's or any of the other cities I mentioned for that matter excluding Chicago again of course..
The 12 people who voted for KC in this poll apparently haven't ever been to STL.
I voted for KC because I didn't think anybody would. . While the St Louis skyline is not all that impressive for the size of the metro, the StL metro is huge, built up and continuously developed with few gaps. StL feels MUCH larger than KC and certainly more urban. It also feels bigger than just about ever other city in the Midwest outside of Minneapolis and of course Chicago. I would say StL even gives Minneapolis a run for its money if you just compare Minneapolis metro and not St Paul.
Most people don't realize how large and built up metro StL is.

The Twin Cities MSA is one...there is no separate Minneapolis MSA.

Didn't say there was. But each has their own sphere of influence (suburbs etc). Just saying that Minneapolis alone and its suburbs seems to compare to metro StL.
St. Louis feels a bit bigger when driving around all of it. I'm not sure it offers that much more in the way of amenities though, outside of public transit.
I like KC substantially better as a city and region.
