Rutland has charm, but for for me it doesn't compare to the life of Burlington. It's a great little city with a vibrant street scene, a beautiful setting on Lake Champlain. It's the type of place I imagine retiring to.

Rutland is a charming town for a day trip but come on, Burlington is a city. No comparison, both nice if you want city pick Burlington, if you want rural pick Rutland.

I also favor Burlington over Rutland. I just wanted to see what other people had to say about it.

Please read: //www.city-data.com/forum/city-...e-posting.html

The question is too vague and there are no parameters listed to compare city vs city. Just "which is better" or "which do you like best" isn't enough for a thread. Sorry.
