Fast paced. I love walking quickly and love the energy of crowded places with lots of people. I know some people find it a hassle, including my parents, who hate the city, but I actually like getting crammed onto a crowded Green Line car, for example. Its such an experience.

Yeah but the areas outside of the I-95 corridor in the northeast move at alot slower pace as well.

Fast-paced and crowded, yet laid back at the same time.

There is more to this than you know... I have been in slower environments and also out in the country... The area you are in can make you develop lazy habits, get unmotivated, etc. At least it does to me. Any more than about a week out of the city environment and I start to go bored out of my mind. It is relaxing the first few days, but after that the boredom, slow pace, starts to creek in. I don't get along well with slow pace people. The laid back, nothing matters much, nonchalant attitude frankly annoys me.Life is too short. The fast pace is calming, slow pace makes me anxious. I feel out of place if I don't have something going on, goals to do, stuff to work towards, something going on in the day, etc. etc.

I like fast paced cities where you actually see people walking the streets.

Slow paced but not boring/dead, ie. give me a bunch of amenities in a slower paced city. There's way too much drama and stress and impatience for me in fast paced cities.
