Asians/Indians & Whites: Acceptable almost everywhere (including ALL major cities). This includes Asian/Indian men and White women (ex. the popularity of Kate and Jon)
Black Women & White Men: Acceptable in most major cities outside of the deep south. Also acceptable in most of the rural and suburban parts of the Western states
Black Men and White Women: Most acceptable in most major and medium-sized cities west of the Mississippi River. Also acceptable in most of the rural and suburban parts of the Western states and cities where blacks aren't seen as the majority of the lower class and crime reports.
Latinos and Whites: More acceptable in places where there aren't a lot of illegal immigrants.
Latinos and Blacks: Acceptable in places where there is a low presence of illegal immigrants and "stereotypical" blacks. Also acceptable in the New South (places I indicated in my first post) - Ironically, during the 90s, I found this to be the least controversial of all IR pairings.
Asians/Indians and Blacks: Acceptable in of places where there is a low presence of FOBs and "stereotypical" blacks. Also surprisingly acceptable in most of the New South (places I indicated in my first post) and West (outside of LA and SF).

I always thought it as curious how the West is so much more accepting while in the West, Blacks and Latinos don't get along as well as in the East, nor do Whites and Latinos.
North Carolina voted for America's first biracial president. Georgia did not.
Nuff said...
No I have to disagree I don't think it's that simple. Georgia is pretty republican. North Carolina is too the only difference is North Carolina's cities make up a larger percentage of the population. So yeah he won North Carolina and not Georgia but that alone doesn't determine race relations in either states.
Im wouldnt call it the northeast. Its filled with transplants because of the economy but it is the south. There are all kinds of southern historical sits all over northern VA.
Surprisingly I see it a lot of Black male White woman couples in West Virginia as well.
There are a lot if Black man/White woman couples in Richmond and Tidewater too.
No have to disagree there is nothing southern about Northern VA except Civil War battlefields and things named after confederate figures. Calling Northern VA southern is almost an insult to the real south.

Well here versus my home in Georgia I would say that Northern VA and the DC area is more segregated but there seems to be more interracial dating here.
Like black folks stay mainly in Maryland with just a handful here and there in Northern VA. Whereas in Georgia the suburbs are a little more mixed. There are still black only neighborhoods but "whiter" areas in GA were not as black folk deficient. So it was odd walking around some parts of VA and not seeing ANY black folks. When I first moved outside the beltway I'd call my mom everytime I saw a black person. Funny when I stopped worrying about it is when I started seeing more black folks. Funny.
So I'd say that black and white interact less here than GA but at the same time there's way more interracial dating.
Years ago an army wife told me how horrible the DC area was because there was so much racism. I don't see it but at the same time modern racism is so unseen you know?

South is a geographical designation. NOVA is below the Mason-Dixon line.
Which means its in the American south. Has it changed, sure it has, but its in the south which has changed a lot as well.

There are significantly less blacks in Northern VA, but the blacks who are there for the most part are more integrated with the mainstream population, particularly when you get outside the beltway.
DC itself and most of Maryland is very segregated (except for a few cities in Montgomery County) and has a covert racist vibe to it from all directions.

If you call a couple hundred thousand a handful. NOVA certainly isnt PG or DC but there are few places I can go without seeing people of color.

But it doenst keep Blacks and Hispanics from accessing good jobs.
I prefer NOVA for its lower crime rates and good public school.
