I live in the #2 city for singles, and I still can't get a date. Now I'm depressed.

These lists are stupid because it is only based on one person's personal preference. Milwaukee does not have a better nightlife than New York City.

I hate lists that use subjective criteria such as "coolness." How on earth do you accurately measure that? By the way, I'm one of those people who thinks a city proclaiming itself "cool" over and over as a selling factor automatically becomes completely "uncool" to me.

Yep. But, cost of living and job growth are good measures. Possibly even "night life rankings" depending on how they got that.

NYC came in at #1 and you're still bitching about it? The Nightlife ranking is based on the number of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs per capita in each city. Milwaukee has the 2nd most bars per capita after Las Vegas. We may not be as hip as some of the other cities on the list, but our nightlife is definitely among the best in the entire US. Drinking is to Wisconsin what skiing is to Colorado, it's our favorite pastime.

I've been to NYC, and to be honest, the bar scene wasn't any better than Milwaukee's. The only difference was that the bars in NYC were more crowded and the drinks were way more expensive.

That and the complaints everyone else are making just goes to show how arbitrary and meaningless lists like these are.

It's ok, you're already in a bar, so just drink away dem sorrows bruhdah. Then just head down around Dorchester Ave and find some--ahem--company. It works for me.

You've got to be kidding. Milwaukee compared to NYC? Milwaukee is kinda, well, blah.
