Philly's skyline is like 1/8th the size of Toronto's.
Thats a cheap trick!The above skylines are obviously taken form much different angles, distances and zooms. Torontos photo seem to enhance its skyscraper density while on the other hand the shot of Philly only hits the western half of its downtown and is of an angle that shows none of its density.

Admittedly Toronto may have a bigger downtown district but its much much closer than you would lead to believe. 1/8th? Thats incredulous.

I would say Toronto. But its not "by far" like some people here implied. Also judging by the the pics above, Phillys outter areas look more built up.

What a joke! Yes, it's tricks of the camera attempting to make Toronto something it's not. LOL! I would say that 1/8th is being generous.

Toronto blows Philadlephia completely out of the water in every single category, skyline being at the top of the list.

Considering Philadelphia blew your city of Atlanta out of the water (are you still upset about that?), I think Philadelphia's skyline being a northern dense skyline (how a skyline should be) can compete pretty well with Toronto.

No. There is no comparison, and you are off topic.

The only reason Philadelphia wins ANY poll is the amount of NE Corridor homers that vote for it, along with any other Northern city. The ONLY reason.

Toronto is a true Global city. Philadelphia? Hardly. The skylines of the two are from two different eras, and it shows.

Philadelphia = the past.
Toronto = the future.

Toronto is so far out of Philadelphias league, this really is not a fair poll to either city.

Don't be so upset because Philadelphia is a great city and many recognize it. Atlanta or your other favorite city of Orlando may get there some day. No need to diminish the votes of the numerous people that have voted for Philadelphia in so many polls.

You have no idea how much of Toronto's downtown and midtown density is cut off when the picture's being taken from the lake like that..

Tall Building Statistics for Toronto
1,766 existing
254 planned
212 unbuilt
115 under construction
9 demolished

Tall Building Statistics for Philadelphia
325 existing
51 planned
49 demolished
8 unbuilt
5 under construction

Enough said.

Again, you are off topic. This is not about Atlanta. Jealous much?
