Avg annual rainfall:
Atlanta - 48.6
Houston - 44.8
Seattle - 38.6
New York City - 44.1
I would presume based on this that your hometown is too dry for you as well, since Houston receives more rainfall than NYC.
Great, but I perfer a city with a thriving black population. I don't see that with Seattle. It's very white compared to ATL and HOU.
I take it that you're black, and, hence, it's normal that you'd want to be around your people.
I'm white, and I prefer to be around my people, so Seattle is nice in this regard. However, it is downright left wing for an American city, so I couldn't consider it. Besides, Atlanta is my hometown, so I had to go with it.
IMHO, Those people playing volleyball are in dire need of a suntan.
By the way how many weeks does summer lasts in Seattle?? In other words how often can one go to the beach and get suntanned. water-skiing, sailing, and jet skiing are very popular water-sports here in Houston's 5 lakes as well as in nearby Galveston. I wonder how popular they are in Seattle?
Tanning of the skin is disgusting, in my opinion. There's nothing like a fair-skinned beauty.

Houston and anywhere in the Southeast is by far wetter than most locations in the northeast. Don't you know that?
Tanning is nasty. It's really a sign of low class.
Yea, I always wondered why White people tanned? I'm black(a dark skinned black at that) and I would never want to make my skin lighter or white. So tanning makes me wonder. But then again, I do prefer at least a little color in a girls skin. I don't want a girl to have skin too pale. SOME White girls look hotter with a tan.

LovinDecatur, the actual city of Atlanta is actually one of the driest spots in metro Atlanta, along with the east/southeast section of the metro (Rockdale and Newton Counties). There are places in the northern suburbs that have over sixty inches of rain per year.
Atlanta's weather for much of the year lends well to activity on beautiful patios and balconies. That's one of the things I love about Atlanta. It could be nicknamed "land of the Balconies and Patios"
I realize Seattle is dry in the summer months. In fact, it's drier than Houston, but those beautiful mountains and that geographical position up in the PNW just doesn't allow those spent clouds to float away. Sure it's dry, but it's still cloudy - hence, gloomier. As I said, when the sun does peek out from behind the clouds, the locals don't waste a moment of their possible time to enjoy it, but it's still a rare event. Seeing all those people on the beach or out in the streets in droves is not a realistic example of life in that city. On your average weekend, most people won't be outside enjoying the outdoors.
How much time have you spent in Seattle...?
I am a native Seattleite and I can assure you that Seattle is rarely gloomy in the summer... those pictures are a realistic example of life in Seattle during the summer.

Nice pics. Those balconies and pools do look really attractive.
