Baltimore is closer to DC than SF is to San Jose, so I wonder how many millionaires live in Baltimore. That would add a lot more to DC. But in reality I don't really care because I like DC better than SF. Except in December, January, and February. that's when I visit my family in the Bay Area a lot to get a break from the cold. But other than that I'm lovin' the east coast.

Largest MSA millionaire loss by percentage:

I am confused with the population figures. I know Philly's MSA is 5.85 million with Chicago at 9 million and LA is around 13 million with NYC around 18 million.

Actually, San Jose might be far, but it is considered part of the CSA and CSA's do matter. Combining them we would get..

Hartford, Conn: 27,587 millionaire households
Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk, Conn: 26,176 millionaire households
Norwich-New London, Conn: 5,704 millionaire households
New York City MSA: 561,800 millionaire households

New York City CSA: 621,330 Millionaire households

San Francisco: 120,800 millionaire households
San Jose: 69,500 millionaire households

Bay Area CSA: 190,200 Millionaire households

Washington DC MSA 127,700 millionaire households
Baltimore: 56,249 millionaire households

Washington CSA: 183,949 Millionaire households

Bay Area still has a little more than Washington MSA when you include Baltimore. Much smaller Bay Area and Washington has nearly as many millionaire households than LA and more than Chicago. GDP figures don't tell the whole story.

As I stated earlier, DC beats SF in Median Household Income but SF beats DC in Per Capita Income.
