Portland.

1) I live there ()
2) Portland has more modern architecture, which I prefer over older buildings
3) Mt. Hood and the Willamette River

Also, Portland has the South Waterfront area just south of downtown:

It's very hard to deny to those who have lived in the Portland region, the gravitation to Hood River. As a Westerner unless by reasonable conversion to cities like Boston,NYC. Providence to me just doesn't parallel the Portland area's lifestyle options, like boundary water sports,skiing,wilderness exploration ect. Nightlife is more progressive and abundant in the Western choice as well.

first of all that first picture of providence is NOT providence.

Second of all, those pics do no justice for Providence. those are OLD pics.

















here are some better pics.. I wish I had some newer pics, several buildings have been added since these were taken.
